What Could Go Right?

What Could Go Right

Objective

The Progress Network was looking to launch a quality podcast production in audio and video, streamline their workflows, and make sure their guests were a hit with their target audience. The central question of the show: “What if instead of being on the brink of disaster, we’re on the cusp of a better world?” informs the brand aesthetic and conversation.

  • Simplify workflows for audio and video with centralized file storage and production tracking.
  • Enable multi-time-zone syncing for two hosts and guests, ensuring consistent, YouTube-optimized quality.

THE CHALLENGE

WCGR is remote-only so there are many production challenges that can arise, such as less-than-ideal tech setups, scheduling constraints, and Internet quality. The two hosts are also over 3,000 miles away from each other. There was a need to set up a stable recording option which allowed guests to join and have high quality audio and video recordings from around the world.

“I couldn’t imagine a more knowledgeable, talented, well-connected, and reliable team than The Podglomerate. They make running our podcast easy and smooth. With them you truly feel that you’re in good hands, and don’t need to worry about anything. They’ve got it!”
Emma Varvaloucas, Executive Director at The Progress Network

THE SOLUTION

  • The Podglomerate simplified workflows for both audio and video by structuring the show in a way that streamlined the post-production process.
  • Centralized location for file storage and production tracking.
  • Sync across multiple time zones with two hosts and various guests.
  • Consistent quality of both audio and video optimized for YouTube presentation.

What was your biggest headache to solve before TPG took over production?

“Finding a company that could handle all aspects of podcast production and marketing; many places only do one thing or another, but not the whole kit and caboodle.”

Emma Varvaloucas, Executive Director at The Progress Network

THE Process

The Podglomerate worked with The Progress Network to select recording equipment including lights, cameras, microphones and recording software. We built tracking tools which can be shared across both teams to monitor assets and find files throughout the various timezones. We developed an editing and review workflow which allows for maximum flexibility and delivery of assets to hosting platforms.

The Results

The Podglomerate provided the skills and knowledge to improve all metrics of the production workflow while continuing to relieve The Progress Network of stress and daily tasks related to their podcast What Could Go Right?. The recording and reviews are seamlessly integrated on the web across timezones, while the storage and hosting stay secure and available to review for the entirety of the What Could Go Right? team.
