2026 is already shaping up to be a great year for podcasting.

2025 was a year of big shifts and even bigger headlines (check out our 2026 predictions episode here). We saw company closures, new ventures launch, and familiar players rebrand or pivot. Video podcasts continued to grow, bringing shows to streaming platforms, theaters, and even the Golden Globes stage. Revenue models evolved, AI loomed large, and creators explored new ways to connect with audiences, from premium content to live events and derivative IP.

Despite all the change, the podcasting community remains vibrant, and many companies reported record revenues. Optimism is high, and opportunities for creators are abundant, whether you’re experimenting with video, exploring new formats, or building the next breakout show.

And throughout it all, The Podglomerate grew as a company and supported the work of countless podcasts through our production, marketing, and monetization services. Thank you to all of our friends, colleagues, partners, and listeners for helping us get here. It’s been a long, crazy experience so far, and we’re just getting started.

What better way to look toward the future than to look back and reflect on 2025 and its “New and Noteworthy” moments:

  • We were named as a Top 10 Fastest Growing Company in New England by The Boston Globeand The Best Podcast Production and Marketing Agency by PR Daily.
  • We were also interviewed/featured in Transom, Harvard’s Nieman Journalism Lab, Creator Science, Business Insider, and more for our insights on podcast audience growth, production, and monetization.
  • We represented more than 120 podcasts in 2025, accounting for hundreds of millions of downloads (I know, wild), with our shows topping the podcast charts and receiving features on every major podcast distribution app with national coverage across print, digital, radio, and television. In fact, you may have seen these blog posts featured in such publications as Podnews, Sounds Profitable, The Podcast Review, and The Podcast Academy.
  • We celebrated over 75 episodes of our Signal Award-winning Podcast Perspectiveswhich has helped break down the most important podcast headlines while going deep into topics that podcasters need to know today. And that’s all thanks to our amazing team, our clients, our collaborators and partners, our listeners, and you.

Thank you for your continued support — over the past 8 years, and for the many years to come. And here’s to even more stories and sonic moments in 2025.
